Everything they need to do seems like an expensive stake to my heart. $25 for a tire rotation for example.  I can do that. Just a pain since I don’t have the jacks myself. At least I am saving on the filters. They are a snap to replace and are over 60% in savings if I buy and install it myself.

Than again this place is a palace of excess with a conveytor belt with cats being hand scrubbed inside with teams of people.  It seems so unreal that there are this many people who spend this much to get their car vacuumed and cleaned when they could do it themselves in about the same amount of time with a dust Buster and a garden hose. Hell it rains enough that they don’t really need to wash the outside of the car.

The carwash is apparently between $30 and 40 depending if you use the nice oil with your oil change. I think they have some retaking service that is around 150.  Those season passes for car washes seemed weird enough to me as well. I can’t fathom why someone would want to get a car wash weekly or even more often. Not that I ever had a nice car but people are doing it with and old card.  I need to figure out how to do oil changes myself to get away from the craziness.

So yay, Katty landed a job and it seems like it is at a pretty good place too.  They seem to be interested actually developing her and getting her to shadow people to make sure she likes the job for down the road.  They did that for their high school co-op student who is apparently going into accounting now.

It was katty’s birthday yesterday and we went to the gator tail mostly based on the fresh chicken they use for their chicken fingers. I felt so full from the fish and chips, they had good chicken fingers too.

Tomorrow I have a baby shower to go to. I’m not sure what to expect since I haven’t gone to one before. Katty described one she went to before and some of the games were very disturbing such as identifying the chocolate bar that is mushed into a diaper.

I’m looking forward to entering some pictures into some fairs later this year.  I need to get some pictures of nature, I’m thinking of the waterfalls in Hamilton.  Actually with katty  working and with school she won’t really have any time to take off so I guess I can use my vacation days to go to Hamilton and find something interesting to shoot such as the condos they are building near the smelters.

I was able to get out and take some photos. First time in quite a while and it was fun. I’m trying to learn how to use my flash better and light the subject better and in a more interesting manner than I have before in the past. I still have a long way to go and my latest subject was Hudson and well a baby is pretty easy to capture and have look good as long as they are not moving around a lot. I was babysitting with Kathy while Chris and Lana were tearing up the rugs at their new place. I was expecting a lot more comments when I uploaded the pictures of Kathy holding the baby and when it was her time but that didn’t happen this time.

I was thinking of going out and taking some pictures during the blackout during the mini freezing rain event but I didn’t want to take my camera out during that. Also it was cold and kind of sucked. I did take some pictures in a hall that seemed to be fairly OK. I got my eye fi card to work with my phone which was fun and good. I hope that I can get it to work with Chris’s playbook. I saw a nexus 7 on sale and started thinking hmmmm but so far no sale.
