4 days since last run

So far my record leaves something to be desired this year but I did go out and run. To be honest I wasn’t able to run the last couple of days due to my left calf feeling strained.  In the morning it always feels extra tense to the point that I limp a little, feels like there is a giant lump under my skin in the muscle.  My run seemed better today, at least at first.  I ran 1.8 km before having to take a walking break. Sadly though afterwards I took quite a few walking breaks over the last 1.2 km I ran today. Looking at the speedmap half of the last 1.2km looks like I walked it. My fastest time was during my first km at just under 7 minutes, my last km was done in 8 minutes 30 seconds, sadly my running isn’t very quick. Lung wise I seem to be a lot better even though it was colder today, it was more my calves and foot muscles bothering me today. By the end my left calf was getting really bothersome and I was worried about reaggravating whatever happened to it before. My feet also were just generally soar feeling, I think the muscles were tired so hopefully I can build the strength back into them by just continuing to run. I’m glad the cold didn’t stop me, I couldn’t find my workout pants or sweater so I had to rely on my windbreaker to keep me warm and hope that my legs wouldn’t feel too cold.  They did feel awfully cold at first and took a while for them to warm up a bit to the point where I could ignore it.

On Tuesday I went to Guelph to watch the Storm and the Rangers play. I thought just the admin office was in the mall in guelph, I didn’t realize the whole building was accessible, I walked the long way around the building from where I parked in some very cold wind that gave my lips windburn, only to walk down a hallway when I was in the arena to discover it just spits you out into the mall and you just enter through the second floor. Compared to Kitchener the arena is a lot smaller however it had a lot more kids at the game who were enjoying it.  The Rangers games in the Aud seem to have a lot of season ticket holders who have been there for 15+ years so they aren’t really loud anymore.
