Fat Lip

Kitty some how ended up getting a fat lip, not quite sure how, he probably ran into something, I don’t think he got it eating a cactus.
I feel kind of sick, I think I put way too much cheese on my pizza. Now I know what you are thinking, there is no such thing as too much cheese but this pizza had nothing but a loid layer of cheese pooled in the middle. Oh well at least I got the TV to work again, now to figure out when Stargate is on.

I have spent a bit longer at work than usual the last couple of days, I hope Jay doesn’t mind too much, I guess he has to catch up a bit more since he in training now but oh well.
Damn CSI is very creepy, I hope the cheese doesn’t bother me too much tonight, I hope the fact that the milk expires today doesn’t make it worse.
I hope kitty feels better soon, see you all at the apple festival in Wellesley.

I need a battery

Before this place burns down, the fire alarm is chirping. I guess it is ok until it stops chirping, or there is a fire in the basement.

I learned a word in Kitty, when he meows softly looking at you means lets play. I woke up in the night and he was on me with his head backwards on me and his paws over his head. I did have a disturbing dream though, I dreamt that I was in my high school history class and my teacher accused me of being a nazi. He studied WW2 I think so I am guessing that is how my brain made that connection. I was infuriated, I couldn’t believe that I was accused of that, and me being in a section of highschool with few friends I felt really isolated. In highschool almost everybody from my grade school was in another section so my classes never had any of them in it. I felt really isolated, especially since most of the people in my section all knew each other and tended to be the richer kids and didn’t really like me, or understand me.
Anyways I remember arguing with him in my drean in class and than afterwards writing letters to everyone to get him fired. He was the reason that I got suspended in Highschool. Even after I was awake it still bugged me for about 10 minutes.

Weird.

Work is fun still, I am a bit busier than I’d like to be right now but it should calm down by the end of the week. I’ve hacked a few more templates for my area’s use so yay.

This weekend is he Wellsley Apple, Wine and Cheese festival, I’m not too sure what to expect but it should be fun, hopefully I will remember to check to see if Chris and I will head there together or something. We played Atmosfear for a couple of games on Saturday, it was pretty fun. I still want to play DnD but I guess that can wait or something.

I shocked Jen and Chris by eating a salad for lunch, it was a bit gross, too much cheese too early. I wwas longing for a 6 inch sub or some apples. Golden Delicious is almost ready for picking, I think around Oct 7 or so. Mutsu is ready about 9 days after that, yum.

I’m Lazy

Yes it has been a month since I posted. My parent will be coming home soon so I have slowly been cleaning up, the other day I cleaned the bathroom. It gets cleaned up a lot faster when you pour stright ajax on the brush and start scrubbing. If I could read Portuguese, which is what the bottle is labbeled in completely, I would have learned that I should have diluted it first in water and opened some windows and such instead of closing the door so the cat couldn’t pester me and try to drink it.

Today I learned that mopping is easy and there was no need for me to pour half a bottle in the smallish bucket that I was using. I did have the foresight to open some doors and to sweep first as well as move the hallway carpet. I am a genious! That is the only explanation. One bathroom to go and a lot of paper shredding.

During my time away from my site I have been away. I spent a week with my honey at her parent’s house. It was a lot more fun this time. To put it in perspective the last time we went during winter and everyone was working so we were pretty much stuck inside, this time I drove down so we had some freedom to leave the house when we got up and no one was around. The drive on the 401 to there was absolutely boring, once you pass Kitchener there doesn’t seem to be another town that borders the highway and all there is is trees and farms for 4 hours. It looked like Woodstock was going to break that up except they have four interchanges with the highway and it is being widened there but they forgot the town, it was no where in sight. Some truck stuff was outside of London but the whole of London is a bit away from the from the 401. It would have been nice to have a few more things break up the scenerey instead of the Ministry of Transportations signs saying they save lives through enforcement of the speed laws and reminding me how many poins I can lose as well as $. I especially liked the signs saying Driver Fatigue Kills, take a break without having a rest stop anywhere near by. When I was in California previously they had rest stops and vista points all over the place here there is a McDonalds every 120 KM or so.

I visited Colasanti’s which I wanted to do since the last time I visited there, it was neat. They have Lemurs there and once in a while they will make a loud horrible sound that makes it sound like one is killing the other. A 5 year old was standing infront of them when it let out the howl, she started to cry immediately, it was great. I took a picture of a deer pooing, it was great. Apprently at the same time a duck and a goat were doing a face off on the fence and it was apparently great. At least that’s what it seems like when My hun and her brother were asking if I got that shot, I said sure did thinking they meant the deer poo.

I went to real fair, well at least more real than the mall midway that they charge admission for in Cambridge. The Harrow Fair was pretty neat, they had of course all the cheesey midway stuff but they had moo cows and a whole lot of ducks as well as show bunnies. I really liked it there.

I got to go boating a little bit more, it was drizzling a lot but it was still pretty fun, I didn’t catch anything though, Kathy was able to catch the same fish twice, he either was really dumb or hungry, I caught a tree. It was loud but it’s bark was worse than it’s bite.

Well that is my I’m alive thread, I know it isn’t really interesting, bah. Some day it will be.

I am tired and lazy

I dislike waking up early just to find out my ride slept in, bah. I am a lazy bum. It has been a while again since I last wrote anything. Today Kitty is being extra whiney, I think the birds are fooling around in the grass more to get their wings dry, he was talking loudly non stop for a bit.

Let’s see yesterday Katty and I saw V is for Vendetta, the movie was pretty good, they didn’t seem to cut too much from the comic. The two disc set is not really worth it though, there is something like 4 short shitty things on it that they could have crammed onto the single disc. I feel so cheated. Luckily the movie was really good. The comic was around quite a bit before so it really shows you what the government can do, it is already being done, bought and sold bit by bit. Meh. On Saturday we saw Pirate of the Caribean 2 finally, I liked it a lot as well. The ending was a bit cheap. I wouldn’t put it past Disney to keep making sequels after all the actors are sick of it. Oh well at least it is something to look forward to.

We spent a lot of time just walking around this weekend. We went to St Jacob’s on Saturday morning, we ended up getting Tetris for Gameboy for about 15 and not much else. We wandered about but it was a quicker shorter wander since we weren’t too interested in the food stuff’s. The fresh squeeze OJ though was really good. After we went to Victoria Park and wandered there for a bit. The juvenile ducks walked right up to us. I guess they are still use to being fed and aren’t afraid of people. When they walk they kind of make a sound somewhere between a peep and a quack. It seems to come out with every step they take. They were pretty cute. After talking with us the 15 or so ducks all walked to a couple under a tree and surrounded them. We were walking by the creek later and they kept swimming away and than swimming back thinking we were different people with potential food stuffs.

The park also had squirrels that can shoot lasers out of their eyes. I saw it myself they knocked a tree down on a child on the swings. The park also has old maps and pictures of the area at the turn of the century, pretty interesting to see.

On Sunday we went to Soper Park and wandered by the creek, it apparently use to have trout in it and they rejiggered the river to give it some marshes and stuff and restocked it in hopes that the trout would come back. Not sure if it worked but the water all seemed rather shallow and empty. There didn’t seem to be much in the way of minnows or anything either. The pool there also seemed close.

Well I have another trip coming up soon, not sure what the agenda will be like since we can’t quite seem to contact all the necessary parties yet. We do have a bit of and idea of where we want to go and see but no real details yet.

And of course I took a bunch of pictures and even a video of the duckies but I am too lazy to put it up now.

I am a sleep

Not really but I am really feeling it. Yay I had the civic holiday off. I don’t know why it is a holiday for some but it felt nice. Yesterday Kathy and i drove out of town just a little bit and there are a lot of very expensive houses and cars out there. Some of the places are huge, some nicely nestled into the old trees, others had all the trees cut away and it is a house on an island of grass. Later that day we fished a bit at Riverside Park and saw a blue herring. Didn’t bring my camera this time, oh well. The egyptian goose was hanging around with the other gooses, it looked cute. On Saturday it was apparently Rock the Mill, we walked about away from the ‘rocking’ which at the time was some guy playing on a recorder. We discovered the fire museum in Cambridge as well as the hours for the farmer’s market. There were letters in windows full of anger with the city. Can’t really blame them, even with all the stuff happening downtown I must say that was one very sad looking sidewalk sale and many of the places are still kind of empty.

Stopped by the flea market earlier in the day and that was pretty much dead, there was about 6 groups of people in there and maybe 12 vendors if that. Even the guy who sold meat was no longer there. The jewlery guy with a gold and jewel studded Cadalac emblem necklace was there still as well as a guy who sold Tetris for 20 dollars. On the bright side the game was thouroughly clean and like new. Someone was there selling really old audio video stuff for some fairly steep prices, a lot of the stuff looked like it should be in several garage sales for 5 dollars at the most.

On Friday Kathy finished her exam early, I wasn’t there in time to surprise her outside of her exam with her new pepper plant. We go to such classy places to eat, East Side, PFK, BK, oh yeah. Kitty hasn’t eaten the pepper plant which is good, very very good. On the down side Kitty has chewed off a branch of my cactus and has pulled Kathy’s Aloe Vera from the ground and was about to run off with it. He now has some cat grass that he cheerfully ignores.

Yesterday kitty got very scared of the vacuum it was alive and wanted to eat his soul. Kathy was stepping on the end of the tube to make it stand up as well as lift part of the tube that was over it. Kitty didn’t like that much and came closer to investigate. During his investigation the tube went down and than back up fairly quickly making him jump backwards and than scramble to get out of there. I’m sure it did not help him much that when I went over the vacuum Kathy lifted it again and I ran screaming from it tangling myself up in it a little bit. He stayed on the one side of the room sitting staring at it the whole time. A couple of times he thought about approaching it from behind the laundry basket or from under the sofa but he turned away soon after. He certainly did not like it when I picked him up and brought him towards it. Strangely enough he wasn’t scared of it when I brought it downstairs, but he was wary of the spot on the carpet where it had laid and sniffed it multiple times.

I’m in the mood for an RPG for DS but nothing to gringing or taxing like Pokemon. I don’t feel like having hundreds of meaningless battles just to raise levels. I’m dissappointed that the neew Starfox game is going to suck really badly, again. Oh well.

I mowed the lawn, the back lawn, the first time in about 3 months, there were parts of it where I really had to put my back into the mower to get it through some patches. Surprisingly I was able to cut most of it without a problem.

Hot Still

I had to watch the temperature in the car when I was driving, it was getting close to the red zone. There wasn’t many people outside today but the ones that were had arely anything on at all. I wonder what it is like in London at the moment, when we were there last the ladies seem to have worn less. My theory was due to triple the amunt of students living within a few blocks of each other competition was much more fierce, that and it was very humid there. Not sure ow well that theory pans out since U of Waterloo has many students but there never really seems to be half naked aisians running around. Than again their school doesn’t have it’s buildings as crowded as Western’s

I think I overdid typing with my hands, they feel a little off from work, oh well. I should rest them more but me typing with the computer above my arms isn’t helping much. I think the Wii may be coming out in November or so, I hope it comes sooner, garrr I wanna play.

Whopper Wednesday was a rousing success, two whoppers were had and were actually pretty good. Burger King now has a 4 beef patty bacon cheeseburger. I may try one if I am ever in a BK with Jen, I’m sure she’d have trouble believing the sight. On Sunday before Kathy and I went to Riverside Park we stopped off for Blizzards first and for the first time in a long, long while I had a medium. I was shocked when I got the cup, I thought it was a small. I should cover myself in ice cream to survive the heat.

So Hot

I had chilli today, my tummy seems to be handling it OK. Kitty’s paw is getting better. I am sleepy and I have not cleaned a thing or taken the clothes out of the dryer, they finished around 10.30 yesterday. I feel like getting a RPG for the DS, I should probably just bust out FF Tactics again.

Jump into it

Kitty had his vet appointment Saturday morning. He is OK although he does have an infection on the part of his paw that seemed to bleed get irratated often. He is on some antibiotics and when that goes away if the bleeding persists he will probably have to go in again and have his paw opened up a bit to shave down any bone that is remaining., sometimes it can grow back a bit. Hope he doesn’t have to go back but we’ll see. I think when he goes running quickly in the carpet that it gets caught in the ground a bit. A couple of days before his appointment he ran outside when I was getting BBQ sauce, he had it very planned out because I didn’t even see him nearby and I was looking out for him since he is always trying to get out. I should have known since this time when I went in he wasn’t standing at the door waiting. He came back later on at night. I pretty much stayed up until 11.30 watching Inu Yasha waiting for him. He was wet, wet, wet with some very muddy paws and the spot on his foot was covered in a bit of blood too. About an hour or two later when he came to my room he was still a little damp. I swear he got seperated from his mom too early becasue of things like that. Before Kathy washed him becasue he smelled particularly nasty and hours later the end of his tail was still completely wet. Also it would explain how much of a suck he is. Jen said he was sleeping by her head the few nights he stayed over. I think he was looking for protection from the other cats. Anyways yeah so he was out in the rain during the downpour on Wednesday night. Oh yeah he also has gingivitas. They gave some treats that are suppose to help with it but being the cat that he is he doesn’t eat them. I haven’t had him eat a treat in over a year. Right now one of the samples they gave is mixed in his food dish and the other three are in a cat nip bag. He did sniff them for quite a long time.

Kathy has been studying for the week for her two exams on Saturday so she wasn’t around and I was bored and lonely. I pretty much finished off watching Inu Yasha. I must say they ended the TV show rather badly. It just kind of ends, nothing was really given to fans, no conclusions on any sort of story line or romantic links or anything. I guess I am suppose to continue reading the manga but I don’t have time for that. I think I will be picking up the new movie when it gets released this month. It seems we always get another Inuyasha movie before going to see Leia, Keh!

Saturday I spent most of the day with Kathy, although she was reading and writing and I was playing a whole lot of Suduku. I finally unlocked the last mode in Daily Training, it is voice math. I hope it’s voice recognition is better with numbers than it is with me saying the colour Blue. It only seems to register properly half the time. I have been keeping my brain age under 30 for the week, even got it to 20 a couple of times. I played the EyeToy Play 2 game finally. I didn’t like it too much, the games I expected them to be simple in nature but they don’t have too much replay value, at least in single player mode, although they are a bit amusing. Mr. Chef was kind of gross though, he looks like he has an infected bellybutton. The mini games the back of the box refers to are basically all the simple mini games they have in the middle of the games to break up the ,monotony of the main games. They are of course the only things available in multi player mode. and you have to play that mode it seems one at a time. I can see it being fun to play while drunk or naked, especially chop the pickle.

We spent a couple of hours at Riverside Park, I never really been in their animal section, it is pretty basic compared to Waterloo park, a couple of horses, goats, sheeps, and cows. It looks like they use to have rabits but they do not anymore, it appears that they keep the enclosure for snails and another one for wild squirrels. The park has a lot of Geese, there was a couple with wounded wings and another with a broken wing and missing foot, poor goosey. Someone started throwing some bread at the ducks and than all of a sudden all of the geese in the water formed a single file line and went to the source. It was quite odd to see, especially since we didn’t know that there was a bread throwing going on, they just all started to organize and leave, I thought maybe I smelled or they were getting ready to flank me from behind. The park also had an Egyptian Goose, it was mentioned in the local paper previosuly and it does look like a cross between a duck and a goose, it was interesting to see. The geese didn’t really accept him, when he was getting closer for some bread one charged at him to keep him away. He hung out with the ducks and the goose with the broken wing.

We took a less direct route home when we done at the park, I have never really been in the part of Preston on the far side of King St, there was some nice houses there with some big empty parks which mostly consisted of nothing. We than came across what I believe is Cambridge’s most central sewage treatment plant. It smelled terribly and that smell lingered around the entire area, I think it is still in my clothes. I don’t understand how some real estate developers could build houses so close to the place. There was houses across the street from it. The whole area actually is a fairly densely populated area, there isn’t really anything commercial or industrial near by. I’m sure the 33 degree heat wasn’t helping, at least it wasn’t hotter.

The A&P didn’t have the Nigri Sushi Combo, they did have maki with just fish though, no veggies so at least that is good. Oh yeah the Korean food place by Laurier didn’t have the Salmon Maki and I was reluctant to get the Ell since everywhere that I have had ell tended to either BBQ it or Fry it or something it just tasted kind of skinny and weird, not smooth at all but this place made it so tastey, it wasn’t cooked at all, yay!. It was so fresh and delicious.

It is about 10.30 now, I am going to bed, I’ll post pictures tomorrow, now it is time for sleep..

London Calling

Kathy and I left on our trip to London on Thursday. We arrived there just as it was getting dark and almost immediately I did the dumbest thing, walked away from the bus stop that I knew would take us to Western. Accoding to the maps fron London Transit it appeared that there was a bus terminal downtown and I though it’d be a good idea to get to it so we can get some transit maps and make sure we were going where we wanted to. We wandered, got lost and I got very annoyed. It was so humid as well, all I wanted to do was sit down and have some ice cream. We wandered over by the river behind a museum but we didn’t stay there long, I was eager to find the damn bus again. We did find it eventually after figuring out that we were not at a walking distance to Western. The bus ride was OK, we did get off on the wrong stop since in the afternoon the bus takes a different course through the school. Western doesn’t have maps around campus showing where you are relative to other buildings, WLU has many of them and it is on one block, I only saw two at Western.

The campus was nice, not as big as I was expecting and it has a lot of neat stuff like $4 movies at their cinema. On Friday we wandered around campus trying to figure out where stuff was and some other prep investigation stuff for kathy, she should have fun there, enough building have cold A/C so it should be good. Saturday we went to the malls of the city and walked from a park back to Western, that was quite a trip. The river looked pretty and there were plenty of people fishing.

We switched our tickets early to get out of London since we were kind of done with the city and didn’t want to carry a full backpack throughout it.

We stayed at the Western Hotel which seemed to be the only hotel at that part of the city. We stayed in an apt style res and actually had to stay with two other people, which kind of sucked. It was so hot I wish I could have strolled around nude in there. Damn old people, I don’t know why they were staying there, we didn’t really talk to them. The building was made in 99 and kind of sucked, it looked very student housing except for the kitchen. The stuff they provided in the hotel was pretty ghetto, a bed that felt like it was a plastic egg or something, if you got near the edge it felt like you were going to just roll off. It made sleep pretty uncomfortable. The shower curtain wasn’t as big as the opening of the shower so we couldn’t get very wet and wild. The cabinet under the sink has the insulation exposed and later in the trip we believe the mouse that was in the bathroom came from there.

Kitty missed me, he meowed a lot. Last night he slept right beside my chest, I think he wanted to make sure Trixie wasn’t coming back and to make sure I was still here. Poor little guy. Tom hissed at him all weekend, he has had nothing but hissing cats for over 2 weeks now. Henry played with him though.

I’m sleepy now, I wonder if Kitty will continue to sleep by me or if he will go by my feet.
