I’m off

I just felt so weird today and sleepy. My eyes hurt and I am just tired. For most of the day I had a headache and I actually had a nap. Odama for gamecube will be 10 bucks in a little over a week at EB, should be fun, if I ever do play it. Kitty got a new mouse toy, it is mouse sized, well rat sized and it is kind of canvasy and chewy with stray fur that is sure to bother him. I found the jumping spider that we got weeks ago at St. Jacob’s. It has a squeeze ball that inflates a lift under the spider making it jump. Kitty likes killing it. The airbag underneathe is put in such a position that it can move forward. It is very cute when he starts attacking it, especially when it is under a flyer, he gets confused and digs.

I still can’t get the bbq up and running. I guess I’ll just use the George Foreman Grill instead, I haven’t used it before, I hope it is tastey. I found out Zellers not only sells the one model of Kayak that is there but also canoes and paddle boats and such. I’m not sure why but I am just so fascinate by it all. Wicked is coming again.

I burnt my foot…with the sun.

You can click on any of the pictures to get a larger version. Did an unexpected tour of St. Jacobs yesterday, Chris used a surprisingly quick way into the market. There was some interesting plants but we weren’t there for that. I was there to just hang around and look about. There was some African Tribe masks, I think I would be unnerved if they were hanging in my bedroom. Jen was interested in the build your own teddy bear bit. The cat angel was pretty cute. There was some smoked cock, crusty buns and hot chicks too! There was some John Deere hats too there. When kathy’s roommate saw the hat she just wanted it. What a farmer.

There was a little pony ride area and goat feeding pen. Basically the ponies were tied to a turn go round thing as someone gently pushed in making them move. Those little horsies looked very bored. If you like being in studio audiences you could experience it here with the as seen on TV stuff was in full force. There was a shredder thing that had Jen mesmerized, beside that was some weird lady displaying card tricks. She talked kind of slowly and purposefully. She reminded me of Roseanne’s tv mom from her show, she kind of looked like her as well. I didn’t get any pictures of her or her King of Spades sweater.

Waterloo park got the piglets back and they ran around a bit, it was pretty cute to see with their stubby little legs. The battery was gone by then. The emus were back as well. Chris tore leaves off the tree and fed the pregnant goat or the cute lil baby goats. I didn’t get to see the duckies but I suspect Jen saw a very gross bathroom.

We toured around a bit more looking for cheap bedroom furnature, I can’t think of any place to get bedroom furnature on the cheap other than liquidation world and their selection is variable and can be pretty bad. Smitty’s which we did visit was very expensive and the fashion furnature and chairs were really ugly and expensive. They had some chairs that sat one person and was really ugly for a grand. They did have a couple of nice peices though but they were still pretty expensive. I have no idea what I’ll do when I need real furnature, maybe some kind of estate sale. Liquidation world had a bunch more KFC buckets, I still need to take pictures of it, they also had Dairy Queen ones but they weren’t as cool.

When you are wearing a tiger shirt you will get laid for sure. This guy had a lot of trouble keeping the chicks off of him. He has the eye of the tiger and stuff. Kitty decided to sleep on my laundry he kept burrowing to get away from the cold, I always love watching him do stuff like that. Oh yeah I got 10 more fish and they all school together. I found out that my heater isn’t heating though. I was getting a pimp one from the local pet shop but my tank has a lip around the edge and it needed to be flat against the tank.

Kitty sure does like protecting us from the enemy. I am glad he keeps the chipmunk at bay, otherwise he could eat my nuts. Kitty is still a little afraid of him but if he run kitty’s instincts kick in and he wants to chase him. Unfortunatley when kitty goes outside now he just runs to the garden into the dirt and rolls into it really good. And he really rolls to make sure he gets all scratched.

Another Dollar

I called Bell to suspend my satellite service for a few month and it is now a 15$ charge to do that over the phone or 10$ over the internet. I searched all over Bell’s site but I can’t find the way to do it over the internet. The only reference I could find to suspending your account suggested that you call Bell to do it and that it will be a 10$ fee.

I need to stock up on some anime to get through the months without tv. I wonder if I should head to Canada’s Wonderland, it can be fun, maybe, we’ll see I guess. Yesterday I was soo tired, I went to bed at 8.30 and I was exhausted around 7 or so. Bill came by earlier and mowed the lawn, I am not too sure why, I was going to do it today. I was actually going to do it yesterday but my phone died so I didn’t know Kathy was waiting at home, I was waiting at the mall for her for over an hour.

Kitty seems bored, he is so full of energy, he desperately wants to go outside and he constantly makes a lot of weird and short meows and is running around the house. That is except for the time that there were a few giant birds in the yard squawking, than he kind of backs up and hides. When he sees a robin by itself and he wants to get it he tries to hide under the curtain or just out of sight by the tread mill and prepares to pounce. Sooooo cute.

I will be going to London soon, they have a mandrin there, I am so excited yum yum. I emailed them to see when the Kitchener one will be opening.

So tired

I liked setting off all of the boomsticks, that was fun. Pinballs and Fish are cool. Same price as at Forwell’s. I liked the Fish one more, the packaging described it as shooting fish and I needed to see what that was all about.

It is about 8 now and I am in bed and I wouldn’t be surprised if I just fell asleep right now, I slept a bunch on Monday but it was obviously not enough. I was yawning through a meeting at work no matter how hard I tried to stop. I think that may be partially to blame that it went during 2 pm. And it is very difficult to find an article detailing why someone naturally gets sleepy at 2 in the afternoon. The Kitty just strentched and plunked his head down on the mattress, I think he is out. He ran outside three different times today. The first two times he heards crows crowing and that scared him to make him run across the neighbours yard back into the house. The third time happened when some kids were making noise.

Kathy has a new mattress coming her way on Saturday, not the best mattress by any means but it should be good enough for 1-2 years. I didn’t shave again, I do not look very professional. Oh for those who have a computer in another room and want to access it or use programs from it remotely, tightvnc is dirt easy to use and rocks. Just google it but I think it is tightvnc.com. I now put blank cds in the computers incase I want to d/l something on to that computer and than burn it there, so handy. Now I need to figure out how to access it from other locations. I hope I remember to bring everything I need to bring tomorrow, my camera wants to take pictures of ducks. I should post some pictures soon!

Weird

I was walking with kathy home in Waterloo and this guy said “Donny, is that you?” He was my neighbour over 20 years ago. I apparenlty still look like a 5 year old. I’m surprised he remembered me since I don’t remember playing with the neighbourhood kids much and he looked to be about my age. Weird. I was a bit freaked out over it. It has been quite a while since I have written, I am sorry journal.

Today Kathy and I purchased a mattress, just a cheaper one to get us by for a year or two since the room is rather small. We also sat on the Swedish memory foam bed, my god, it is so soft and comfortable. I think it was around 3500 or so. We also went to St. Jacobs, didn’t really buy anything but did wander around a lot. The video game store didn’t want to pull out the box with the other PS1 games, just like what happened with Chris last year. It turns out there wasn’t anything in there. They had Ogre Battle 64 for 150 bucks, nothing else though. I did get a jumping spider though, yay, Kitty will have fun with that. The other day Kathy came by earlier and played and petted him for a solid hour, as soon as the door opened and I came in he immediately left her, meowed, and trotted over to me. Kitty loves me more.

I played DDR a bit today, I am so out of shape, I was sweating hard after a few rounds, I need to lose my gut.

Victoria Day is coming up and I got boomsticks. A lot of the neighbours have been firing off stuff every night.

So many lost memories already. Work has been well and I have been getting up a bit earlier since I have been staying at Kathy’s place more.

Today we also went and saw the cute and cuddly little baby rabbits at Waterloo Park and just wandered about in general a lot. It has been a good day.

All that and a plate of ice cream cake

Kathy had her birthday yesterday, was lots of fun, I just wish it went longer, damn work and well society requiring money to live in it. We went to the noodle hut which is near school, they have some very delicious chicken balls, soooo good. They don’t take debit, just cash and One Card. The chicken balls were good. After we walked over to DQ and got a birthday cake, I was going to bring one over when I came but Kathy was hanging out at school instead of at home. All was good though. For an extra 4 bucks you can get the larger size cake, we only had to pay 3 more because it was a dollar off.

Yes I try to be cheap.

I have not been eating my lunch at work much lately, sometimes I’d just have one sandwich, sometimes, like the last two days, I just forget to eat. I’d only really notice that I am hungry by the end of the day and by than it’d be too late. I have to remember to bring my DS tomorrow since I will have to stay a little bit later for a meeting and than I am staying much later since John is going jogging after.

I can’t believe how much time flies sometimes, I don’t feel like I have been home for very long and it is already 8, than again I did go to wopper Wednesday and than looked and shopped a bit at the dollar store. That reminds me I have a cheque that I need to cash.

Kitty got in trouble, at some time in the morning he decided to jump on top of the fridge. I never knew he could do that, hell I have only seen him jump up on the counter three times. I don’t know what he was doing up on the fridge but it seems that when he went to jump down his tail may have knocked over a vase with a narrow bottom making it break on the floor below. Kitty stood next to it after with one ear forward and another backwards meowing until my parents came. I don’t think they were too pleased.

He was apparently very whiney yesterday afternoon as well. Since I went straight to see Kathy without stopping by first he kept running around looking for me expecting me to show up soon. He just loves me. When I did get home around 12.30 he meowed and snuggled up in bed with me and used my elbow as a pillow until I rolled over.

I may be seperated from Kathy for a whole week, maybe longer in May since I don’t feel comfortable asking for time off right when I start in a new Dept. Someone else in the area has the week off as well so I don’t think it would have been wise anyhow. Hopefully Kathy will get her summer schedule soon and we can go during the summer at some point.

I need to get some sleep, in the morings I just pass out in exhaustian when going to work.

Craftiness!

Kathy and I took a little get away to Michael’s to help occupy the cat and relieve a bit of stress. I am fascinated by those shadow boxes but I have no idea what I would do with it if I got one so in the store it stays. There is a lot of scrapbooking stuff. I love how they sell ‘scrap’ paper that are just various sized squares packaged and sold by the pound. Since I am not a woodsmith and fear losing my fingers too much I opted for one of those premade by the chinease bird houses and feeders. If the chinease wanted to take over they could fit anything made in their country with a tiny microphone and an explosive, we would all be gone. We than went to look for a some paint so we can have the prettiness and snobbiess birds to move in and feed. I never realized that craft paint cost so much money, I guess I am paying the price for exact colours but my god 50 bucks for 6 colours was a bit more than I expected. We luckily found some paint that was a bit cheaper at 2.99 and left with it. Oh we also left with a couple of clay pots to decorate at a later time to encourage more greeness. Oh yes, Michael’s has the cutess mini shopping carts!

Last night I went out painting the feeder and Kathy went and painted the house today. We did get a lighthouse as well but we are saving that one for later, Kathy’s parents are into lighthouses. It is kind of neat, it is a birdhouse as well and you can also fit a tea candle in in as well.. Oh can you guess which one I made and which one Kathy made? Needless to say Kathy has talent and mine looks like it was made by my attention deficit 5 year old niece, wait maybe she is 6, whatever. I just know mine will repulse the critters that my cat enjoys looking at. We were going togo bike riding instead but I kind of wanted these up sooner rather than later and the turkey was making me feel weird.

I think I should move this tv in this room into the basement so my nieces won’t bother me so much and they could play Sims on PS2 to their hearts content and they can fight over and cry about the game until their hart’s content as well. Wait, that last sentence was not proper, neither is this one. The weather was nice a little cold with the wind but quite nice with a hoodie. I was tempted again to get a Canon S2 but after going into the store I realized that Future Shop’s Easter sale was pretty much a scam and the camera was not a 150 off as they claimed, maybe 150 if the extra memoryt card they included in the package was very expensive. Saving money is nice, too many cash outlays lately and I still haven’t done taxes, maybe I’ll pay them this year.

Use your nails boys

Kitty smelled weird yesterday and he was shedding a little bit so I thought I would go ahead and give hime a little bath. He didn’t like that a whole lot. As long as I held him by the collar he wouldn’t fuss overly much except when I dare bring the water spout on to him.

His claws were quite apart so he really wanted to get away. An hour later his back half was still wet, even with him getting two towelings and soaking my clothes in order to keep him warm. Such a gentle creature normally. A sleepy character who stops and smells the flowers and sometimes claims ownership of them all.

He has a weird habit of burrowing too. A bit later he ran upstairs and burrowed under the sheets of one of the beds to keep warm. In the last photo above he burrowed into one of my sweaters. When I made a noise going to bed he popped his head up through the neckhole and just started looking at me. Such a cute kitty. Yesterday He was laying down and he just kind of pounded his head on to the blanket that he was using for a pillow. I bet he learns that from me, I always just lie down and find something to use as a pillow and just rest. At work I put my feet up on a shelf and lean back and slouch (since the chair doesn’t lean back much) and work like that. I like being in a relaxed position.

Back to the cats. Kitty was tied up for a bunch of the day and harrassed by the children. He was pretty restless inside so he got petted and scratched a lot outside. He still meowed a lot to be let back in. He gets lonely sometimes and sure does enjoy it when you go downstairs with him. Sometimes he will lead you to his dining area or poop area and expect you to do something. Sometimes he just comes down hoping you’ll play with him or go hiding behind a curtain.

Tetris DS is suppose to be a lot of fun with a lot of extra players. Kathy was playing 4 player and she seemed to have enjoyed it, I was watching the Battlestar Gallatica mini series. It was pretty good. I should go about shaving now since I won’t have time to later and it is starting to become a real nusance while eating.

Oh yeah, all of the pictures can be clicked on to get you a little bit of a bigger version.

Time for sleep.

Upgraded

When I first got my iBook I didn’t get the additional Ram because of the expense but after almost 4 years I finally have, yay. I was actually contemplating not getting it since this computer also needs a new battery. Well I guess it doesn’t need a new battery but the current one only lasts for about 10 minutes. Now it has about 640 MB of RAM and it is flying once again, as much as it can I guess. I got to have a good look at the new MacBook Pros and my god are they thin.

I am still hunting for a camera. I think I may choose either a Canon S2 or a S3 when it comes out. Maybe, I am not 100% sure yet but they are my most likely bet, at least at this time. It is hard reading the review sites since just about every camera that isn’t a SLR it says it has too much noise over 200 ISO. I think that it would only be noticable if printing stuff large or viewing at 100% on the screen. The only ones that seem to avoid this doom is Digital SLRs which are just way more than I want to spend, and much larger than I would really like to carry around. Panasonic has a really neat camera that also allows for manual focus but apparently all of their camers have terrible noise due to the chip they use. My eyes are bad so I shouldn’t be doing manual focus anyways. Also it uses a proprietary battery which I want to stay away from. In Guelph I can get 4 rechargable AAA batteries for under 5 bucks, I’m sure they carry AA for the same price if not better. The place is Tri Star Trading on Dawson Road if you were curious.

I finished work in my dept Friday, it was bittersweet for me. I am sad to leave, especially my old boss since she was the one who hired me and I guess took a chance on me since my skills at interviiews rather suck. I’m nervous going into the new area since I fear that I may stumble since I will have to learn a large variety of tasks and new systems in a short time. I will continue on with my attitude though, make sure I do my job to the best of my abilities and to increase my abilities to make damn sure that they never regret hiring me, not even for a moment. I finished up all of my tasks in the previous area, so hopefully the person who is taking over won’t screw up stuff that badly and blame it on me or something.

Yesterday I dragged Kathy with me around to a few stores to look at cameras, we did get a few pens for her, she does love her Uniball’s. We also got Tetris DS. That game is frustrating, mostly because I suck at it but shit. Kathy seemed to be able handle the game easily and handicapped herself to keep things competitive but I kept on losing. I felt like throwing my DS across the room. Shi-at. I was tempted to get Yoshi’s island now that they reduced the price on it but I just don’t feel like playing anything anymore.

Now my hands are idle, I don’t feel like playing with clay, I don’t have anything Buick related to write about, don’t really have anywhere to go, gas is expensive, and Kathy is busy studying so I don’t want to go heading out to places with her. What the hell am I going to do? I have to pick out stuff since I really want to set up my old pc as a RAID storage area and such but that can wait until the funds come in.

Albino possums terrorize me

Sunday night when driving Kathy home I thought at first I was seeing either a really weird looking dog or some sort of giant albino vermin but instead it was an albino possum. http://www.visualsunlimited.com/browse/vu214/vu214000.html is an example of such a creature but this one was not a baby, still very weird looking.

Today kitty saw a chipmunk feasting on some seeds I left out side the sliding door and the cat was ready to attack. The chipmunk either knew the cat couldn’t get him through the glass or didn’t notice but Kitty wanted to go outside and hunt this fierce predator. I grabbed Kitty into my arms and let him out the door in the kitchen. The chipmunk stopped oving when he heard the door open so Kitty didn’t see him because of the lack of movement. When he was about to dart to the fence n the corner of his eye the chipmunk tok off. The cat than walked to where the seeds were and rolled in them, heh.

Oh kitty, how I love you. Yesterday he got in trouble. He decided to jump on the shelves supporting the booze and than sniffed the ceiling and stretched his paw out to a nearby clock to either see if it could support his weight and jump on it or to just knock it down, he got yelled at promptly.

Work has become annoying lately, just a lot of buggering and knit picking over stupid things that some are too dumb to know the answer to or are just confused, bah. I think the person replacing me is complaining some more. I am just trying to get everything done perfectly with minimal work transferred to them so they can’t make a stink and say I left the stuff in ruins.

Getting to work was fun with a giant pickup going into my lane in front of me and than slowing down immediately because they are about to miss their exit, scarier still was seeing the big white pickup behind me dive into the lane tey just vacated because they were following too closely. People need some sort of license to drive a car.

I have gone to a few more stores looking at cameras and I am at a greater loss over which camera I should select. A lot of reviews say that the Panasonics leave too much noise over ISO100 but than some go on to say that is true for all similiar cameras and only true digital SLRs can overcome that. I’m so confused, of course most stores only have a lil picture as evidence of what kind of picture the camera can produce. I hate how some use a special battery, for a camera i need spares, a lot of people spend too much time reviewing pictures.

Kathy and I are still planning a vacation together in May or June to her parents’ place, we may stay for a night in London at Western since they use their dorms as a hotel for the summer. We wanted to look at the school a bit, this will let us be nice and close. While looking for touristy stuff in London I found a crystal chapel there that does weddings in an hour but also has a Drive Thru wedding service. They are apparently trying to emulate Vegas chapels by their own admission. My only question is where is Elvis! I joked with Kathy that we should mention this place to her Grandma before saying we are off to London see you soon.
